[Solved] converting doc to html

Post by rjgil »

Is there any way to force Open Office to use lower case instead of capitals when converting a doc to html
Open Office is way better than Word in the conversion, but it appears that lower case letters are more acceptable with html5.

LibreOffice saves in HTML 4.0 format (same as AOO, but with lower case tags, so that would work for you.
OpenOffice 4.1.11 on Ubuntu; LibreOffice 6.4 on Linux Mint, LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Ubuntu

I used Libre Office and it works fine.
I usually have to convert some commands to css format, so not a big deal here.
Not a lot of extra <font> commands like some.
Excellent advice, THANKS!
