OpenOffice Writer Printing Forms

Postby su@syspal.co.uk » Tue Jan 05, 2016 3:23 pm

I have designed a form in Writer with a text box with no maximum text length. It has a scroll bar for when users enter text beyond the size of the displayed box and is printable. The problem is that when you print the form, the only text that is printed is that which can be displayed and I want it to print all text even if that means extending the size of the text box down. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Sometimes the user will only enter a few lines but sometimes they may wish to type rather a large amount of text, thus my reason for not having a maximum text length or not making the text box too big on screen.
I would really appreciate any help / ideas.
Thanks
Su

I believe you'd have to write a macro to check character count in the textbox and expand it if needed before printing. I'm not aware of any non-programming way to do this.
