[Solved] Hyperlink TOC in Master Document

Post by morlock9 »

Within a master document, is it possible to set up a hyperlink table of contents to click-jump to other files in the master document, if all of the pages are set to HTML style? Heading 1 would be the linked Chapter style used in the TOC.

It is not possible.
I have concluded that Master Document is for print works only, where a hyper-linked TOC would be useless.
OO Writer can produce a HTLM document that can be ebook compliant, but it has to be in a single file, and not multiple assembled files, as is the purpose of Master Document.

Does it help at all to do it in two steps?

Master+subs --> single .odt --> html

You can also open the master document, update the links, then break the links (Edit > Links > Break Link) to get all the sub-document content loaded in one file.
