[Solved] Small capitals

Post by mekukoki »

Hi!

How can I make a hotkey to the small caps? In the MS Word is Ctrl+Shift+K, and it is very usefull to me. But in the OpenOffice it seams to be impossible to use hotkey for this function... :( Is there any chance?
Thanks!

Create a character style with the Small Capitals attribute and assign this style to a shortcut key from Tools, Customize, Keyboard.

Please edit your first post and prefix your thread title with [Solved] if this solves your problem.

Thx :) , good idea, but my problem is not fully solved yet, because it works just always by one font size. So when i define a 12pt sized small caps in the style, i can't use it by a 14pt sized word, because the style changes the 14pt to 12pt. Or am i wrong?

Fortunately, you're wrong. Did you create a paragraph style or a character style?.

I think it must be a character style. I don't think it is possible to create a paragraph style without a font size, though it is possible to create a character style with a font size. I tried creating a character style with a fifty percent font size, but it remained at 6 point after changing the body text font size to 18 point, not 9 point.

Edit your default template and add the style to that.
