Is anyone aware of a way (using Writer) to apply a template to an existing document? I thought I read somewhere about a plugin that would do it, but now I can't find that info.
Thanks for any thoughts.

The extension you want is Template-Changer-1.2.7c.oxt.
For various reasons, that version is only distributed as part of a bug report at bugs.documentfoundation.org.
Bug # 60592.
