I generally use Print Artist Gold to create and print letters and cards to my grandchildren. It does not have a good "word wrap" feature for allowing text to flow around imported photos, so I thought I'd move to Open Office.
Open Office has a good text wrap, but I am stalled at the first roadblock. I have imported my own colorful frame to use as a border for my letter, but cannot figure out how to put my text on the page. Once the image is there, it is constrained. Nothing can be added. I've tried a frame in jpeg, tif, and png, but cannot then get text on the page.
I tried to make a template but couldn't make a letter page with graphics.
I've looked at the multiple help items listed - charts, graphs, columns, numbers, measurements, etc., and found it all confusing.
What's wrong? It should be so simple - type a letter inside the borders of an imported decorative frame.
Anyone?

Re: imported text frames
Try putting the frame as a graphics background to the Page Style in use.
