Changing templates of existing documents LO 4.0

Post by dreamquartz »

Hello All,

We did a download of the latest LibreOffice 4.0 a while back, and it appears that the extension called: "Template Changer" is not working properly anymore.

The Suite is adapting a new way of handling templates, but our goal is, as a company, to have a Standardization, including Templates.
The problem lays in the fact that Templates also need to be updated once a while, and therefore affect all the documents that are based on them.
Template Changer is a perfect tool for that, but now it is becoming more difficult to change (batches of) documents at once.

Is there a way to change (batches of) documents, based on the Template Changer methology, or is Template Changer still being maintained?

Thanks in advance for any input.

At present, Template Changer will work with OpenOffice 3.4.1, but there are major structural changes in prospect with the release of AOO 4.0 (shortly, or RSN if you are old school computing) and it is not yet certain just which extensions will work with the new version.
