Accounting columnar worksheets

Does anyone have any experience using Writer with tables to prepare accounting worksheets?

I think the table functions will do enough math to handle the job.
I cannot find any templates for this.
I wonder if someone has invented this wheel already
I'm assuming I can link cells in one table to another table in another file?

Thanks

You cannot.
What a strange idea to make accounting in a Writer document!

Don't worry, the writer files would only handle the document work. An accounting "workpaper" is more document that accounting. Number crunching would take place in Calc or Base.

So you don't really need any maths in your Writer file.
have you checked the template web pages?
Never heard of this kind of templates here.

Yes, I checked. I thought a table in Writer might do some light weight math, or link to a spreadsheet or database.
I'm just learning here.

There is an old posting (circa 2003) at

which might be helpful.

Also something else at
