Is it possible to load up open office Writer and have a default footer with a path/file name format appear at the bottom
Or
Is it possible that when you start up writer it will show a template first (one that has been saved) and not the blank document
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Have you read the Forum Survival Guide?
Please don't post multiple copies of the same question. I have removed the other two.
Also, we encourage everyone to try a search first. Just enter a couple of words in the search box (top right).
E.g. "default template" will get you lots of posts asking this same question, as well as this one: [Tutorial] Creating a new default template
I think that will cover both of your questions--if not, just add on to this thread.

Re: Automatically load wirter with a footer
I to would like to have a insert a footter with path/file name.
I see the default footer options but I do not see how set path/file name.
Once I have it as a footer it is no problem to save as default template.
Please help or direct how to solve

Re: Automatically load wirter with a footer
Insert>Fields>Others (or CTRL+F2) in the Document tab, select File name and chose the format you want.
