I have a large multi-file document that I want to change the font on.
The files are assembled in a Master Document. Can I work through a Master Document function to change it easily?
All the files were created off the same template. Can I pull up the template alone and modify it, and expect all the document files to replect the change when loaded up?
Working with an open file, I can select the entire document, and then change the default font. When I save it, will the change be reflected in the template, or, when I load up the file again, will the temple override the previous changes?

You can change indeed the Default style of the Master doc.

Yes, OOo will detect the change of template (if it was saved through the File>Templates>Organize dialog).

No, the change won't be reflected on the template. But the template won't override the change because it's considered as a direct formatting that overrides the styles. But if the template has changed, then the new style should be applied, even if there is a direct formatting (to be checked, I've never really tried that).
