[Solved] Assigning a Template

Post by Paul Gauci »

I am trying to assign a template which I have created to a new Writer document using the File>Templates>Assign template command but nothing is happening. I have followed the procedures in the guides and help but of no avail. Evidently, I must have done something wrong.

What can the problem be?

I don't see where you can assign a template. Any screenshot (see here: How to attach a document here)?

Or do you use the extension (see [Solved] How to assign a template to a doc already in use?)?

I followed the procedure described in:

but failed to get the results that I needed. I shall try again and keep you posted.

Thanks and Regards

I just installed the extension and went to the File>Templates>Assign for current document and it works fine, the template has been indeed changed and the styles updated (OOo 3 on xubuntu Hardy).
