Deleting Templates

Post by Boatman189 »

How does one get rid of unwanted templates? I downloaded Open Office's templates and they had alot of German templates and I liked to get rid of them and the directories they in from my template menu.
Been driving me nuts.... any help will be greatly appreciated..

Have you tried File>Templates>Organize and to delete them?

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Once you're in the organizer, expand the folder, right click on the template and delete it or just hit the delete button.

Thanks again but when I right click I don't get a delete option. Import, export, printer settings and make default are all I see.

What OS? GNU/Linux? (you should update your profile so that it appears under your avatar).
I don't have the possibility to delete them if they're in the installation folder (for all users) [on my xubuntu box]. To remove them, I've to run OOo as root.

Thanks for the suggestion I did update my profile. I use windows xp and presently using the beta version of 3.0. I sorry but I do not understand what OO as root means... ;)

OOo as root is something for *NIX users.

Have you admin rights on your machine? Can you post a screenshot of the templates window (see here: How to attach a document here)?
