Re: Filter for MSWord2013
Try the LibreOffice. The LO can save into OOXML formats.

Re: Filter for MSWord2013
The option of switching to LibreOffice can be taken after we get confirmation that there is no filter to convert the documents to OOXML ( MSword 2011 or MSword 2013 or docx)

See the menu in AOO:The option of switching to LibreOffice can be taken after we get confirmation that there is no filter to convert the documents to OOXML ( MSword 2011 or MSword 2013 or docx)
File - Save as - 'filterlist' drop down:
the 'latest' MS format what you can save to is the MS 2003 XML. There is not OOXML (MS 2007-2010-2013) option in Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1, but there is in Libreoffice 4.4.4... Is it enough to confirm?

Re: [Solved] Filter for MSWord2013
In fact, the code is somewhere but it was a decision from the OOo team at that time not to implement the OOXML filter.
Don't remember where I've read that however.
I've tagged the topic as solved, I think there are enough evidences that this filter is not available in AOO.

Re: [Solved] Filter for MSWord2013
As long as MS Word supports doc perfectly well and OpenOffice supports doc very well, there is no need to support another document format poorly. It is better to not write a poorly supported file format like LO does causing a lot of confusion. Better nudge Microsoft towards better ODF support which is by a magnitute easier to implement than OOXML.
