Event Close LibreOffice

I have a question, In some cases the event dispose or close is called first that save, why is the reason of that?
Are referring to the Save dialog that is opened whenever the user tries to close a document that has had changes made to it?
That allows the user to either save changes they like or revert back to the original document if they don't like the changes.
