found Excel add-on and worksheet i need to convert

I found an Excel add on and worksheets someone had written to do something I need to do with getting information off of a webpage out of a table and put it into Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately it isn't compatible with Excel because they use VBA as I understand it and Open Office uses OO Basic, although I saw where the API can use other programming languages in programming for Open Office. I am not a programmer and not very experienced with Open Office itself. I was just wondering how hard it would be to convert it over to be used in Open Office calc from Excel? Thanks
