Protected cells can not be modified

Post by ugurkara »

Normally we receive the message "protected cells can not be modified" , when trying to enter value to protected cells.
Is there any way to prevent show the msgbox?

Perhaps I am being obtuse, but it seems to me to be counter productive to protect cells that must be altered. Information on unprotecting selected cells is at

Dear rory,
my aim is to prevent the user edit the cells. sure, we can use protection . But i don't want any message box.
Mightbe i need to prevent the user select any cell before editing. I'm not sure. I can't find any hint all forum about it.
how to disable selection any cell or editing cell without messagebox?
