Using §OO from a Flash AS 2 application

Hi all, I'm currently working on a Flash Actionscript 2 application.

I need to open up Writer or Calc (or any other OO application) from within that Flash application. In other words, I'd like to create an OO application interface in Flash. Although I could recreate say the Writer UI in Flash, I need to know whether I can call OO API's that handle the opened documents. Does UNO handle calls from a Flash application?
