What version of open office should I load on my power mac g4 10.4

Re: version of open office
I would suggest trying the new OOo 3, even though it's only available in pre-release form right now. The final release should be out in a couple of weeks and this is the first version to support MacOS natively, a big improvement over previous versions.
AOO4/LO5 • Linux • Fedora 23

To be fair, those links dont't work. The server just gives Permission Denied. Considering how easy it is to build a universal binary I dont see why there isnt an 'official' version for PPC
OOo 3.0.X on Mac OSx Leopard + Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat/CentOS)

The download links in RC4 don't work yet - RC4 hasn't been officially released yet. For RC3 go to:bluedalmatian wrote:To be fair, those links dont't work. The server just gives Permission Denied. 1. An universal binary would greatly increase an already large program.
2. Building a PPC version of OO.o has to be done on a PPC computer
3. Sun does not own any PPC computers and cannot buy any — they are no longer made. Sun only officially started supporting and building OO.o for Macs after Apple switched to Intel processors. The Mac Porting project still provides developmental builds for Intel and PPC versions of Macs in all languages at the good-day site.
