Hi
All of the sudden all files in openOffice (calc, presentation, writer) are saved with the tex editing file type (textredigerar-dokument) I have tried to export files as pdf etc, reinstalled Open Office 4.3.1, checked settings

I am using an old OS X (10.10.5 Yosemite) due to a hardware device that is not supported by any newer version of OS X.
Anyone out there having an idea what to do?

Have you looked at the actual files using a file manager? Do they have the correct extensions, e.g. .odt for Writer, .ods for Calc etc. If so, it might be that only the file associations have been changed somehow. See Q33/A33 in [Tutorial] Mac FAQ for more information.

it happens when I want to save a OO file. I save it with the correct extension but it is saved as a type "textredigerings-dokument". Translatet to English something like "text edited document". Also if I try to export the file as a pdf, the file doesn't get a correct extension. It's weird

On the/Fle /Save As dialog and on the /File /Export as PDF dialog, is the "Automatic file name extension" box checked?

Please upload a small example file showing the problem so that it can be analysed. Use the Upload attachment tab below where you type (128 kB max); or use a file share site, Dropbox or Google Drive for a larger file.

The likelihood is that the reinstall correctly set the file associations.
