32 bits or 64 bits

I have been notified by Apple that the version of Open officeI have is for 32 bits and there is a transition to 64 bits occurring.That means I will not be able to use Open Office once the transition is complete. How do I switch to a 64 bit app.?

32 bit apps can be run on 64 bit systems. I am running 32 bit AOO on 64 bit Windows 7. I doubt that Apple will disable that capability in MacOS.

The last 32-bit version for Mac was AOO 4.0.1 which was released 5 years ago. AOO 4.1.0 through the current AOO 4.1.6 are 64-bit only for Mac.

Please make sure you read the
Installation instructions for Mac before trying to install AOO.
