Upgrade: unidentified developer

Trying to upgrade from version 4 to current version, I get the message, "Can't open because from an unidentified developer". How can I bypass this?
OpenOffice 4 on Mac OS 10.7.5

Use Forum search at top right of Forum window and search for "Gatekeeper" (no quotes).
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.9 on Xubuntu 20.04.1 (mostly 64 bit version) and very infrequently on Win2K/XP
