Mac not opening password protected MS Excel file
Password protected EXCEL FILE - IS THAT WHY IT WONT OPEN IN OPENOFFICE. I recently had to scrub my hardrive and in the process lost my WindowsOffice Suite. I downloaded OpenOffice. I have opened Word files successfully and one Excel file as a test. I have one very important excel file that is password protected and when I attempt to open it in OO it give me a bunch of commands in a window like "Data Interchange Format". Anyone know why or how I get my file back??? Thank you!!!

Try it with LibreOffice. The LO has a littlebit higher compatibility with the foreign file types.
