Error messages upon opening

Two errors I get any time I open the app for the first time, upon trying to open a text document:

Error loading BASIC of document file:///Users/myname/Library/Application%20%Support/OpenOffice/user/basic/dialog.xlc/:
General Error.
General input/output error.

second error is the same except the suffix dialogs.xli/:

running on macOS 10.13.2, but has been this way for all recent editions of macOS for me.

OpenOffice still works fine after, just can't sort out the message. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm attempting to follow those commands, but there is not an OpenOffice folder in Application Support.
