[Solved] Apple won't let OpenOffice install

I just upgraded to OpenOffice 4.1.5 after using previous versions for years. Apple won't let me open the app saying it is from an unrecognized developer.
I've been working on a doc in 4.1.1 and now can't retrieve it.
HELP! Thanks.

Did you try to Google the fine print in the message?

This is caused by Apple Gatekeeper
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202491
You have to tell GateKeeper to trust this application and permit it to install.
