When I am in open office the action buttons (save cancel help back, etc) are all very dark blue and hard to read. How do I change this?

Use the tools menu... see screenshot. You should have got some styles during installation of OpenOffice. Swap to another style.

Thanks but I have gone where you showed me. I have changed the style to every one that is there (about 4 or 5).
This has not changed anything. I still have the dark blue.

Did you additionally check the "Accessibility"? Probably "unselect/select" of one or more of the items may be helpful.
Overall you can try to customize your graphics in some direction. Rarely OpenOffice needs help on some graphics/hardware configuration(s).

Has this ever been answered ? I'm having the same problem of unreadable text on dark blue buttons and found no way to change this. Nothing I change in Prefs ever makes any difference. As a (default) setting this is completely unusable
