Resizing limit for doc windows in AOO/LO

Forgive me for posting here, but I have tried to ask a question on the Libreoffice help pages and it isn't accepting it for some reason, and since LO is an offshoot of OO, I thought the problem could be addressed here.

The other day I was working on a document and tried to resize it, but I saw there was a limit -- as i tried to drag the bottom border of the window up, it stopped and wouldn't go any further. I thought this was strange, because the next day I was able to make the window as small as I wanted to -- The drag/resize arrow was two sided instead of one.

Yet today I tried it and was back to the resizing limit.

Is anyone familiar with this, and if so could you offer any advice/experience?

Like I said I tried to address this on the LO help/question page/site, but I can't post the question -- every time I click on 'ask your question' it takes me back to the top of the question page.

What do you want to resize really? The application window or the page size of the document, or the zoom factor?

I meant to say that I want to resize the window, not zoom the document.

I'm using The latest version of libreoffice 5.2, and it's OS X El Capitan
