Randomly asks me to save/discard/cancel

This has been going on for a while. I'll have documents open and for some reason a window will pop up for each of them asking if I want to save/discard/cancel and if I chose save (or discard) it will just shut the window. I'm getting annoyed with this, as I have them open and don't want to shut them, nor go through half a dozen pop ups every so often. Why is it doing this? Thanks!

yes, a MacBook Air

This may be arising from the chassis of the laptop flexing because not on a firm surface. Try placing the laptop on a hard surface such as a table or a strong tray. If the problem does not arise there then you know what is causing it.

I normally have it either on my table, or on a lap tray... why would the movement of the laptop cause OO to decide it wants to quit?

There have been reports of some laptops flexing and thus making pseudo trackpad signals.

hmmmm ok so no way to stop that?

Only by placing the laptop foursquare on a firm surface; use of it on a carpet or knees seemed to cause the problem besides allowing fluff to be sucked into the cooling vents, which in time can promote overheating. If you try the laptop on a rigid surface and the problem does not go away, we need to look for other causes.
