I am trying to create a back up system to apple iCloud for my OO docs. These files are saved to 'documents' on my mac, and copied to the cloud.
When I log into my iCloud account, I can see the files, but can't open them. A double click moves them to 'downloads', but they don't open from there, even though I have OO on my mac. (Mac OS Sierra 10.12 . OO 4.1.2) I tried Cmd+O without success. How can I open these files ?

You tell us what does not happen. What does happens when you open the files? What happens when you open them from within the program (Cmd+O)?
