[Solved] Keep 2 Versions?

Post by Lesley72 »

Hi! I just downloaded and installed Open office 4 on my MAC with the 4.1.1. version. I see that the old Open Office Version 3 does not automatically disappear. Should I delete the old version????? Is there anything I should think about, before deleting it?

If you have customised wordlists and dictionaries you should bring these forward from the old to the new profile before deleting the old profile. But if you don't know that you have any, you probably haven't and could delete immediately.

Hi!.... I do not beleive I have any customised wordlists and dictionaries. Would I loose the few documents I have saved from version 3?

No, you should not unless you have Saved them in an utterly inappropriate location, such as in OO3's user profile directory

Thank you Rory!
I think I am going to take a quick look at the documents before I delete version 3.
Thanks a lot for your responses!
