CALC + Mac Mail = strange bedfellows (Calc won't start)

Hi All,

I'm running OO 3.0.0 Beta and Leopard 10.5.4

I can open spreadsheets all day long provided mail.app is not running. If I open mail.app, I can no longer open any spreadsheets from within Finder. I have to close mail.app, quit OO and then spreadsheets will open again. All my spreadsheets are Excel 97/2000/XP.

I can't open anything, nor start OO. I started a different thread (http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... =17&t=9984) before seeing this. There's also a similar thread at http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... =17&t=9926

I do recall a software update the other day, and don't know if that did it. The second thread I posted a link to above suggests trying 3.0; I'm downloading now.
