Upgrade faulty!
I clicked on a link that prompted me to 'upgrade' Open Office, and now I no longer see any odt files, everything has been translated into .org and I cannot read a lot of my existing files! It appears that the so-called upgrade is Open Office.Org 3...what can I do?? Is there any way I can get my former program back?? I desperately need access to files that are now illegible? Please help!

Uninstall what ever it is you currently have and download a genuine copy from http://www.openoffice.org/download/.

I'd also suggest performing a full system check for malware & viruses.
