Wishing to email directly from OO, my setting are: OO/Preferences/internet/E-mail/E-mail program: smpt.comcast.mail. System proxies are automatic. I prefer to read and sent email on AppleMail.
When seding email from OO, a message reads " OO was unable to find a working email configuration. Please save this document locally and attach to (your) email." This same message appears even when "smpt.comcast.mail" is changed to "smpt.apple.mail".
Please advise me which adjustments are needed to email OO documents from OO.
OS X 10.11.4 / OO 4.1.2 / Firefox 45.0.1
Thanks !
Rob Glass
PS: Either I'm especially blind or I'm the only one with email configuration problems. OO practically automatically sets itself up so this has perplexed me for several years - blind and a slow learner to boot !

Re: email configuration
Dear Larry,
Your screen shot helped a lot ! Sniffing around applications ( I generally do not have adequate courage to fiddle with entrails ) showed a "Mail" file under Mac OS.
You use Thunderbird which I had tried but got terribly lost. I believe having a working email
configuration would have spared me a great deal of frustration.
Thank you very much !

Re: email configuration
I use (for past several years) Sylpheed email, which I find simple and satisfactory. I'm old school and keep my email application separate from OpenOffice, particularly as I rarely need to email documents.
