[Solved] Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

A couple of weeks ago while still using an older version of Open Office, I got this message:

"The last time you opened OpenOffice, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?" and buttons to "Reopen" and "Don't Reopen." However, neither was active and once in open office neither the "Save" nor the "Close" command would work.

I then tried downloading the most recent version of Open Office. It made no difference, behavior was still the same.

I can modify documents and close them using the red button and then I am given the option to save, so I have a work-around, but I would prefer for the program to function properly. Oh, incidentally, the only way I have found to clear that error message from my screen, even after OpenOffice is closed is to "Hide" OpenOffice.

I have just now seen the option for attaching a file, so I have attached a screen shot of the offending message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a Mac OS X problem, not an OpenOffice/LibreOffice problem, so reinstalling the suite will not solve it. Resetting the user profile won't help either. Read the information about your Mac's org.openoffice.script.savedState or org.libreoffice.script.savedState folder in Release Notes → Known Issues.
