Hi everyone
cpl issues:
Open Office decides to start saving my document itself, which would be annoying enough because it interrupts my work, but on top of that it doesnt even really save it, it just keeps going - basically freezes in the middle of saving. So evry five minutes or so i have to force quit and reopen...very frustrating.
secondly on a different user acccount every Open Office document is filled with some weird symbols (presumable some code?)
any help would be appreciated!

Re: Automatically saving/freezing & weird symbols
For the saving, turn that on/off in /Tools /Options :Load-Save : General
On a Mac, Options is under Preferences.

Re: Automatically saving/freezing & weird symbols
What sort of wierd symbols? are they on gray backgrounds? Or are they little interword dots, left/right arrows and backwards P symbols? If so press the backwards P button on the toolbar or use /View /Non printing characters to turn this display off.
