Check for new version/update of OpenOffice

Post by CMRCMG »

I would like to set up the checking function to get new release of OpenOffice
but I do not have anything abour when I open the Tools/Options

I'm running the french version of OpenOffice 2,3 on Mac OS X
So It should be "Vérifier les mises à jour..." within the OpenOffice.org section of the dialog "Outils/Options..."
But I never had any thing on this section.

Thanks for your help

Thank you for your help and picture of Option dialog.
No I don't have this option to tune my preferences of "Mise à jour".
And I am running Open Office on Mac OS not on Windows as seems to be like your screen.
Thanks

So it may be related to the Mac OS package. You can try the 3.0 Beta which works natively under Mac.

NB: as new version comes out every 3 months, this feature is not so useful IMHO.
