Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? OpenOffice 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using? Mac OS X 10.5.4
What is your question or comment? I am having difficulty in specifying the keyboard input language. I have both English and Spanish set up for my Macbook, but cannot input Spanish language characters in an OpenOffice document.

Yes, I have Apple Script and it accepts the keyed entries for the Spanish keyboard layout.

Any update on this issue? I'm at a loss to accurately get OpenOffice writer to accept the keyboard entries when the keyboard is set to Spanish letters and diacritical marks in Mac OS X.

Does it help: Dvorak Keyboard Layout not recognized. But may be painful if you've to reactivate the option when you need to revert to English.
