Apache OpenOffice Community Forum

I just downloaded Open Office 2.4 (redownloaded, long story) and then realized that it did not solve the problem I was having and downloaded NeoOffice, since it is Mac native. But now I find I have a different problem: I cannot delete Open Office. I moved it to my trash, but when I go to empty the trash a box pops up saying that it cannot empty because "insertweirdnamehere" file is in use, and the list goes on and on. I keep hitting continue, but in the end nothing actually happens and it continues to sit in my trash. How do I get rid of it? What's going on?

Perhaps there are shared files between OOo and NeoOffice.

Try closing down NeoOffice and the quickstarter if it is running. I don't have a Mac, so I'm guessing.
