I installed X11 and OpenOffice 2.3 on my iBook (twice, just in case I did it wrong the first time). OOo opens fine in Writer, which is what I want to use, but I can't see a thing. All the letters and images are fractured and faint. I've changed the preferences on X11, can't access any for OOo.
I'm sure it is a simple thing for someone who knows what they are doing.
Any suggestions for me?

You probably have
1) bad color number : change for MILLIONS of colors in X11 preferences
2) set Fullsccreen mode in X11 preferences.
Start X11, uncheck Fullsscreen mode, and you should be able to see OpenOffice.org appear.
