Issues installing under the Mac OSX - X11 - Aqua

Postby chacksel » Fri Jun 27, 2008 6:52 am

I just downloaded and installed OpenOffice on my mac and while the entire process seemed to go smoothly now that I try to open the application X11 opens with some very strange window that reads "bash-3.2$." If I then try to open OpenOffice again I am told that the "command has timed out." I can then click "ok" which will open OpenOffice 2.4. This doesn't seem normal. Does anyone have any adivce?

See if that search with 'command timed out' keywords helps.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

A new OOo Beta 3.0 was released today, it is the first OOo to run on a Mac without the need for X11.

It can be obtained from OpenOffice.org Beta 3.0
