OO 4.1: lateral trackpad movement is erratic

I'm hoping to get a sense of whether anyone else is having this problem or if it's just me (for troubleshooting purposes).
After installing 4.1 on my MacBook (2009 model, running Mavericks, plenty of RAM), my lateral (left/right) scrolling on the pad inside Calc is erratic. When I drag two fingers side to side, I have to be very precise about dropping my fingers lightly onto the pad, then dragging across, then stopping movement entirely before finally pulling directly upwards, off the pad. If I'm not careful enough, it starts sliding further to the right, but with some rapid back-and-forth shifting as well. It's very confusing at first, and quite frustrating even once you've figured it out.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know how to fix it? Let me know.

I have experienced it in Writer. Just checked in Calc and tracking is very bad.

I had problems with tracking across to the left side of the (any) page using Writer once I'd installed 4.1.0 on my MacBook Air (2012, OSX 10.7.5). I couldn't find a way around this, so have reinstalled 4.0.1 which has always worked fine for me. I'll wait until the problem is identified, and solved.

Same issue here as soon as OO 4.1.0 was installed. Only seen problem in Calc.
Riding a MacBook Pro (mid) 2009 with Mavericks (10.9.3) and was extremely happy with the last version of OO....

this is quite annoying, as usually when scrolling through large spreadsheets, there is some lateral movement which used to just send me a couple columns over (L or so), but now i end up in column BX by the time i get to the bottom...
Also. those little dots that represent the scroll bars in big spreadsheets are in the wrong places.

If you click the dot, it will page up, instead of being draggable. It takes some click and guesswork to find the actual scroll bar. How far it is below the dot pictured depends on how far down the document you are. For instance, when you are near the bottom of the sheet, the place you need to grab is actually above the dot.
When you are in the lower middle, the dot is in the right place. It is odd.

Hello,
Same issue when scrolling from left to right in Calc, movements are completely erratics (since upgrade to OpenOffice 4.1.0)
I'm running OpenOffice 4.1.0 on a iMac 27" with OSX 10.9.3 and a magic mouse.
Any solutions ?

There are bug reports filed for this problem. Do a search at
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/
There will probably be a fix in the next update of AOO.
