Installed OOo_3_3_0 a couple of times in the meantime on an iMAC OS 10.6.6.
An OO icon shows on the Dock and there's an OO folder under the applications folder. When shutting down and start up the icon and folder are gone. Had noticed this a first time when I tried opening a pps attachment from my gmail account.
After re-installation, tried copying the application, but then the installation file replicates under the applications folder, not the actual program.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Re: Application is gone after start up
It sounds like you are running OOo from the .dmg file you downloaded and have not actually installed it.

Re: Application is gone after start up
Hmmm. Thought I had effectively installed the application; which apparently wasn't the case after all.
The way the user manual described the installation did make it work. The icon changed from the pad-like icon to the OOo icon after restart... and stays there.
Thanks for your help!
