"Command Timed Out" Message when I open

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.

Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.3.1
What Operating System (version) are you using? OS X 10.5.2
What is your question or comment? Whenever I open Open Office I get the message "Command Timed Out." I dont know what it means. I hit the "OK" button and then it starts up.
