Hi,
Just tried to download version 3.1
As usual I cannot get the automatic download, I only receive an error message.
Suffered the same problem with versions 3.0 and 3.0.1
Is there a problem with Macs running on the PPC as against Intel?
A second issue is that on both 3.0 and 3.0.1 I could not enable automatic updates. Why is this?
Thanks

Re: MacOS PPC & OOo 3.1
Yes same problem with me -- sadly, of course!
I recall there was a site where we could download a Mac OS PPC English version of 3.0 (even though it was not fully tested). It works for me. It would be helpful if that info was on the site that lists all the official versions. In any case, could someone let us know where it is and where the english version of 3.1 is? Thanks.
Best wishes,
George

Re: MacOS PPC & OOo 3.1
See: Latest Version for MAC PPC Processor. It may have to be adapted to 3.1 since it has just been released.
The automatic update feature is not that robust, the servers are often down and the update fails. As the releases are rather periodic (every 3 months), it's easy to know when a new version is available.
For the list of versions, you can file a request for that: [Tutorial] Reporting bugs or suggestions.
Thanks to add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Re: MacOS PPC & OOo 3.1
Thanks Hagar. After scrolling down through the thread you suggested I did find the older link for 3.0.1:
<< http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/Ope ... /3.0.1rc2/
The file for the US English version is named:
OOo_3.0.1rc2_MacOSXPowerPC_install.dmg >>
That is what I already downloaded, but it may be helpful for others if they haven't yet updated to 3.0.1.
I believe that link was not so easy to find -- even for me who had been there before.
I will see if I can find a site for the latest version from the other link you suggest.
This is oddly difficult! Seems like we are indeed in a sad minimally supported minority as mac PPC users. Wish I could help somehow.

Re: MacOS PPC & OOo 3.1
Navigating and responding to the links on the bug report page listed above looks like a very involved way of requesting an link to an updated version of 3.1 for PPC macs. If there is such a page, like the one I posted above for 3.0.1, does anyone already know the link? Thanks so much for your help.Hagar de l'Est wrote: For the list of versions, you can file a request for that: [Tutorial] Reporting bugs or suggestions.

Re: MacOS PPC & OOo 3.1
Don't know if such a page exists? but for the bug report, no need of many details: just set the right components (should be something like documentation>site) and just ask for links to the PPC versions. That's all. But perhaps those packages are not really 'official', that would explain why they are not listed there.
