[Solved] Right to Left, Left to Right Buttons Gone

I used to be able to change paragraph direction via right-to-left and left-to-right buttons on my toolbar. One day these buttons just disappeared and no matter how hard I play with "customize toolbar" I can't get them back nor to work. Therefore, can't change direction of paragraph!!!! Does anyone know how to fix this? (OO 2.2, OSX (via x11).

View - Toolbars - Customize - Toolbars
Select Formatting
Buttons not there to select?
Select Buttons but nothing happens?
More specifics should help.

Go to the Tools menu and choose Options.
Click on the disclosure triangle next to Language Settings
Click on Languages
Is "Enabled for complex text layout (CTL)" checked? If not, check it and see if that brings the toolbar buttons back.
I think those buttons are only visible if CTL is enabled.

Right you are. Thanks. I must have un-enabled CTL by mistake at some point. Problem solved.

The user hast to be informed when trying to make the buttons visible! I almost filled a bug report when the "right-to-left" and "left-to-right" buttons didn't appear when I tried add them. I haven't seen this unintuitive computer program for a while.

Had the same problem and found this thread.
I agree there should have been a more user friendly handling of the selection of these toolbar options.
At least there are people out there taking the time to solve user problems in the forum.
