I have Mac OS X v 10.5.4 (Leopard) on a 2.1 GHz PowerPC G5 processor.
I downloaded Ooo2.4.0_MacOSXPPC-install_en_us.dmg
I moved it to MacHD/Applications
My first impression was that only X11 appeared on the Dock.
I added an alias to OpenOffice.org 2.4.app
When I double click it, OpenOffice opens with a blank document – I can create text & pictures in it, save it, print it and re-open it.
But where are base & calc I thought they were absent!
But, within Writer, I was able to open an existing Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.
What is happening here I seem to have everything but I have no conventional method to access my applications (other than writer).
