OpenOffice crashes when try to change sheet in spreadhsheet

OpenOffice spreadsheet keeps crashing when I try to change to a new spreadsheet. I'm not very techie but have tried updating the user profile, uninstalled and reinstalled OpenOffice and no luck fixing the issue. Can anyone help?

I am seeing the same thing on 4.1.1 on Big Sur 11.1 whenever I attempt to paste cells.

Several problems have been discovered with applications, not only with OpenOffice, running on Big Sur. A fix for OpenOffice 4.1.8 on Big Sur is being actively worked on. it is also expected that there might be an Apple fix solving problems on other applications.
