[Solved] Purchasing and using new OpenOffice

Since 2008 I have happily been using NeoOffice 3.2.1 patch 8 on my Mac mini. Now I just got an iMac OS Mojave 10.14.5 and must upgrade.

What is the difference between the Professional Edition and the Mac Office Store edition besides an additional $15 for the latter?

And will I be able to use the new edition on my old documents?

If those documents are stored in the native, international standard ODF file formats, the AOO or the LibreOffice will open and edit them without any problem.

It was a little tricky – had to convince my computer that OpenOffice was not malware and after getting over that hurdle was able to download it. Wish to thank you guys much and marvel at the help that was rendered from Ireland and Hungary to me – a New York neophyte when it comes to new computers. Thanks again.
