Office error after instaling russian language on Ubuntu 7.04

Post by saabrs »

Hello.
I need a little bit russian language for writing, so using System-Prefernces-Language support I installed russian language. There are those packages:

aspell-ru (0.99g4-2build1)
im-switch (1.13)
irussian (0.99g4-2build1)
ispell (3.1.20.0-4.3)
language-pack-gnome-ru (1:7.04+20071115)
language-pack-gnome-ru-base (1:7.04+20070412)
language-pack-kde-ru (1:7.04+20071115)
language-pack-kde-ru-base (1:7.04+20070412)
language-pack-ru (1:7.04+20071115)
language-pack-ru-base (1:7.04+20070412)
language-support-ru (1:7.04+20070209)
myspell-ru (0.99g4-2build1)
openoffice.org-help-ru (2.2.0-0ubuntu2)
thunderbird-locale-ru (1:1.5.0.10ubuntu0-1)

So, when I launch any of OppenOffice programm (verssion 2.2.0), the Konsole gives such a message (this is from Writer, but they are similar to any programm) and it dont open:

(process:5619): WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary / abnormal early exit ...

After installing off previous installed language packages, everything works fine.

So where could be problem?
Tnx

Try to rename your OOo user profile (~/.openoffice.org2).
If no improvement, you can try to install the official OOo version, see here : install the official version of OOo : [Ubuntu] Installing OOo on Debian and Co. Then, install a language pack if you want to install the official version, you can see here : Change language for user interface (menus & help files).

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.
