Can't figure out the final:
Alternatively, you can use a GUI package installer, reference the installation directory, and install all rpms at the top level. This may also aid you in determing any dependency problems if they exist.
Install the desktop integration features for your setup.
cd to desktop-integration (in the installation directory),
and install an appropriate desktop interface using RPM. (Try the freedesktop-menus first.)
where is desktop integration?

Re: desktop-integration
I can't answer for distros using RPM files, as I use *ubuntu versions which use DEB files, but in case it helps, using a DEB file I unpack the OpenOffice download. In a terminal I change into that folder, go down one level into the DEBS folder and there run the installation command (sudo dpkg -i *.deb) I then change down into the desktop-integration folder and once again run the installation command,
I suggest you look for a folder named "desktop-integration" in the same folder as the main OO files awaiting installation.
