Printing on Kyocera problem

Post by mkotschi »

Hello,

I have Openoffice 4.0.1-5 on 32bit Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, Kernel 2.6.32-61-generic-pae, (Yes I know its old.)
Recently print jobs going directly from OpenOffice to my Kyocera FS-C2626MFP just disappear.

That is, I see the print job queued in cups (1.4.3) and no error, it is sent to the printer and the printer responds "OK" the busy light flashes on the printer but nothing prints.

If I take the same file and export it to a pdf and print it through Evince, version 2.30.3-0ubuntu1.3, it prints fine.

I would suspect the printer, it as I said it prints pdfs from the same system fine.

Can anyone suggest where to begin troubleshooting this?

Try updated drivers from
http://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.eu/ ... html#LINUX
or try the PPD for a PCL5c printer
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.15 on Xubuntu 22.04.4 LTS
